The “Prostir Zoru” clinic is equipped with modern high-tech equipment so that each patient can receive a thorough examination and an individually selected treatment regimen.
Ophthalmic equipment is an integral part of diagnostics and treatment. Its quality determines:
- how quickly and efficiently the examination will be carried out;
- will help track the course of the disease in dynamics;
- adjust the appointment and observation plan;
- will provide more accurate predictions of the quality of your vision after surgery
Among the diagnostic equipment we have:
Autorefractometer POTEC PRK-8000 (South Korea, 2025)
Autorefractometry is a hardware method of studying the eye’s ability to refract light, i.e. refraction. This device automatically detects such disorders as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism (uneven surface of the cornea).
By directing a beam of light into the eye, a computer analyzes its reflection from the retina and produces a result, which is the basis for further more detailed tests.
Tonometer iCare100 (Finland, 2025)
This is a mobile tonometer that quickly and accurately measures intraocular pressure (IOP). The measurement is performed by touching a disposable sterile tip to the patient’s cornea and quickly bouncing it back. Due to the light weight of the tip, the process is quick and does not require anesthesia.
SonomedEscalon VuPad ultrasound system (USA, 2024)
This portable diagnostic scanner is designed for ultrasound examination of the eyeball.
It has different modes:
- A-scan (ultrasound biometry, one-dimensional scanning of various eye parameters);
- B-scan, 20 MHz (two-dimensional scan for imaging, usually of the posterior segment of the eye);
- Pachymetry (measurement of corneal thickness).
- cleanliness and comfort of the premises;
- accessibility for people with limited mobility.
The VuPad ultrasound system allows you to obtain high-quality still images and high-resolution videos that can be viewed frame by frame. Ultrasound scanning is an important diagnostic step for detecting diseases such as hemophthalmus, diabetic changes in the vitreous and retina, retinal detachment, and intraocular neoplasms.
ARGOS biometer (Alcon, USA, 2025)
A new generation device that provides faster and more accurate diagnostics*
* compared to IOL Master 700/500 and Lenstar LS 900
This is a non-contact optical biometer designed to determine the parameters of the eye before cataract surgery and/or intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, with determination of its power and type. The diagnostic process uses SS-OCT (swept-source optical coherence tomography) technology.
Its advantages:
- fast biometric data capture (< 1 second);
- thanks to SS-OCT (longer wavelength, better penetration), has a high success rate in measuring axial length (AL) in cases of dense/mature cataracts;
- segmental method of measuring AL, which gives advantages in cases of very short or very long eyes;
- allows integration with the surgical system.
HUVITZ HVF-100 Perimeter (South Korea, 2024)
Perimetry is a measurement of the field of vision, both central and peripheral (the ability to see space to the left, right, above, and below with a fixed gaze). It provides information about the functional state of the visual analyzer and is very important for patients with glaucoma, degenerative changes in the retina and optic nerve atrophy. Such an examination is also useful for neurological disorders or after injuries.
The procedure is painless, lasts about 10 minutes for each eye. The patient only has to look at the mark and press a button every time he sees a light signal. This allows you to understand where the field of perception is narrowed or has areas of loss. Even at an early stage, when visual acuity is still normal, the optic nerve can suffer.
Oculus Pentacam AXL corneal topographer (Germany, 2025)
PentaCam AXL is a combination of two devices in one. In addition to tomography of the anterior segment of the eye, it also measures the axial length of the eye and performs IOL calculation.
- Pentacam. This is the “gold standard” for corneal tomography. Regardless of the state of the tear film, the thickness and curvature of the cornea are measured, its anterior and posterior surfaces are analyzed, as well as the total refractive power. This helps to detect diseases such as keratoconus and corneal dystrophy, and is also used in the selection of night rigid (orthokeratological) lenses.
- Measurement of the axial length of the eye for calculating the IOL and its dioptric power. The device allows you to obtain accurate data even after refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, etc.)
Optical coherence tomography TOPCON 3D OCT-1 Maestro2 (Japan, 2025)
Optical coherence tomography is a modern high-precision diagnostic method using infrared light to create a detailed, layer-by-layer image of the internal structures of the eye. The doctor receives a three-dimensional image in real time and with high resolution.
The examination is fast, painless and non-invasive. The tomograph makes it possible to identify many different diseases, such as macular rupture, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, vascular edema and thrombosis, retinal detachment.
Maestro2 allows you to obtain detailed clear visualization of the vascular network, structure and thickness of the retina (OCT angiography). It is possible to make a photofixation of the condition of the retina and optic nerve – fundusography.
Our laser equipment:
OPTIMIS FUSION ophthalmic laser (Quantel Medical, France, 2023)
OPTIMUS FUSION is a versatile laser system that combines traditional YAG photodestructive procedures and SLT photoregenerative therapy. This laser can be used to perform capsulotomy for secondary cataract, peripheral iridotomy, and selective laser trabeculoplasty for open-angle glaucoma with high quality and safety.
Ophthalmic laser VITRA2 (Quantel Medical, France, 2023)
Laser type: 532 nm photocoagulator (green laser).
VITRA2 is characterized by high accuracy, ease of use and a wide range of clinical applications. This makes it an effective tool for the treatment and prevention of retinal pathologies. The Multispot adapter with a multi-point mode allows you to reduce the procedure time and discomfort for the patient.
Equipped with a new generation laser resonator with increased power.
Laser coagulations performed at the center:
- peripheral preventive for retinal dystrophy;
- barrier for tears or local retinal detachment;
- focal or panretinal for diabetic retinopathy.
Such procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, quickly and painlessly.
Modern diagnostic and laser equipment of the Prostir Zoru clinic allows you to detect diseases in the early stages, conduct accurate examinations and select individual treatment. This means that each patient receives not only high-quality diagnostics, but also confidence in the safety and effectiveness of the procedures. We make sure that your path to healthy vision is as comfortable and effective as possible.
